8 Year old league tournament July 14 & 15

July 14 & 15 will mark the league tournament for our 8 year old program.  We will play on Wednesday with the (2) winners meeting Thursday for our championship game.  Please come out and support our 8 year old program this Wednesday at 4:30 and 6:15 and on Thursday at 5 for the Championship game.  Good luck to all teams.  There will be trophy cermony after the Thursdays game.  Please bring a camera.

Picture Day

Our picture day is scheduled or Thursday June 3rd.  We will meet by the concession stand at the sports complex.  Georgia and Cal State will go first at 5:30 and Notre Dame and Ohio State will go after their game.  (approx. 6:00).  Forms will be handed out to coaches on Thursday May 20th.

Opening Day for 8 year olds, April 24th, 2010

Opening day was a success for our 8 year old program.  In the opener, Ohio State rallied from 0-7 to tie the game in the last inning resulting in a tie, 7-7.  Jack Huml was the first 8 year old to take a pitch.  The kids played hard and made some great plays.  Congrats to both teams in making this day a success.
 
In Game two, Cal State beat Georgia 9-4.  There were some great plays by both teams.  Excellent job by the Cal State shortstop who had a major league diving play.  Way to go.  Good job to both teams. 
 
I have attached some photos of the games.  Thanks again for making this a great start to the season.

8 Year old league

This year will mark the first time the Janesville Youth Baseball program has welcomed 8-year olds to our program.  Our objective this year is to teach these young athletes the fundamentals of baseball and prepare them for the next level of baseball.  We will teach them the fundamentals, rules and how to become a better athlete and student of the game.
 
You will find the game schedule below.  Please download the attachment for all games.  All games will be played at the Sports Complex on the Little League Field.
