Thank you to all who participated in this year's candy sale fundraiser. A special thanks goes out to the candy parents and coaches from each team who did a fantastic job distributing candy to their team's players in a timely fashion.
Congratulations to Brandon Dunham (Yankees) and Andrew Rutherford (Notre Dame) for going above and beyond expectations and selling extra candy! Baseball players ages 8-12 will once again be selling candy bars this season. Each team will have one candy parent who will be contacting you regarding when to pick up your child's candy, how much your child will sell, etc. Candy pick-up for team candy parents is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5 at Gray Brewery on West Court Street. The candy sale officially begins the following Monday, May 10. Your team's candy parent will make arrangements to get you your child's candy sometime between May 5 and May 10. If you receive your candy before May 10 you may begin selling. Many local businesses will allow your child to sell candy outside their doors. Please be sure your child wears his/her team shirt and hat while selling candy. The candy sale is a REQUIRED FUNDRAISER (unless you participated in the buy-out program which was availalbe only at sign-up). Funds raised from the sale of candy bars helps JYBSA to offset the cost of equipment, field maintenance, team uniforms, umpires and many other expenses accrued throughout the season.
